Uttarakhand Sanskrit University

Uttarakhand Sanskrit University is working with the aim of conservation and promotion of oriental science. With the University, 44 colleges of Uttarakhand are affiliated and the main campus is situated in Haridwar. The University has initiated study-teaching initiatives by connecting modern subjects and sciences with Sanskrit.
Based on the recommendation of the Sanskrit Commission, 1956-57 proposed by the Government of India, Uttarakhand Sanskrit University was established on April 21, 2005 to upgrade Sanskrit education in Uttarakhand region. While discharging the leading role in the field of Sanskrit education in the state, this university has been growing on the path of continuous progress, today it has made its place in various Sanskrit Universities of the country. For the last few decades, the spread of Sanskrit language is widely seen throughout the country. This university is active for the innovation and innovation of the preservation, upgradation, modern science of the knowledge of Sanskrit language.
